We didn’t go scuba diving or snorkeling in common definition as we were not allowed close anywhere. We tried to attract as little attention as possible, living a quiet life at anchor. But regularly we got our snorkeling gear out and/or the dive bottle to clean Moonwave’s hulls and bottoms.
The water in the bay was very rich on plankton [see below] and other marine micro organism like shrimp and jellyfish that attract the whole food chain of smaller fish, bigger fish, crabs, rays, lots of sea birds and other marine animals. At the beginning we left the swimming ladder in the water for a day, just to find out that it was already home of gooseneck barnacles. More details about the local fish below.
