The sun comes up early in Costa Rica and it can be very strong. But what’s to mention are the amazing sunsets and sunrises. The sunsets over the Pacific Ocean are just fabulous. We were blessed with spectacular sunsets and purple skies. We even noticed how the sun moved northbound over the period of the three months. Seb would make fun of me about my glamorous taste for sunsets but I can not help it I love the “kitchen of sunsets”
The solar installation was a great plus for our energy balance on board. Depending on the hours of sun [rainy season less effective] the generator only ran for 45min every 3 to 4 days. This included electric cooking, baking bread, water maker and washing machines with no restraining needs for 2 persons.
