We are in the middle of the big Boat Show season on the East Coast of the United States of America with Newport and Annapolis just passed and Fort Lauderdale ahead.
Beginning of October took place the boat show specialized in sailing – Annapolis Sail Boat Show – with the biggest on the water display of sailing yachts.
We went to the show – without Moonwave – to check out the latest products and inventions.
It was also great to meet and catch up with our actual suppliers and their engineers – to chat about their actual products, new improvements and future plans and all the technical aspects. We had some great exchanges with the technicians. It’s good to put “faces with names” as we have been for long time in Asia, from far it’s not always easy to actually meet with the person you are dealing with.
We also took the chance to place some orders right away as some companies offer good boat show deals.
We found some nice new products and by “window shopping” the different stands – you get across some products that could come handy but you might not have thought about them yourself or that you would ever need them. We also noticed a lot of great new rigging gear and will look into some of them in details.
It is also always nice to see the “long waiting line” in front of Moonwave’s sister ships – a lot of people are trying to get on board and visit the displayed Gunboat 55 & 60.
